Highland Swing are a five piece band with a distinctly Scottish flavour based in London. Clare Lindley fiddle /caller/vocals, Colette O’Leary accordion, Chris Haigh fiddle/vocals, Brian Mullen cello/bass/vocals and Paul Kerr guitar/vocals They are a professional and experienced group of musicians who are available for ceilidhs, concerts and festivals. Highland Swing are represented by several London event and music agencies. They perform a wide repertoire of instrumentals and songs and are versatile in different styles of music from traditional to jazz, popular and classical.

Polecam zespół i płytę :), spędziłem z  nimi kilka godzin w pubie Captains w Edynburgu, przy piwie i fletach :).

The journey to this, our first album, has been a truly enjoyable experience, involving collaborations with friends, fellow musicians, artists, and other bands. Through the stories and the tales told by the songs and their creators, we have reconnected with the history and rich traditions of Scotland, from Robert Burns to Dougie Maclean, from the past to the present. Many of the themes, whilst rooted in our nation?s past, have huge relevance in the present day. We hope you enjoy the end result – thank you for supporting us!

Cykl spotkań o tej nazwie jest organizowany w Szkocji od 1995 roku i jest fuzją muzyków grających celtycki folk także w bluegrass i country z USA.

Tym razem coś do posłuchania z “dawnego” radia czyli Tomasz Beksiński i jego audycje… ktoś wpadł na pomysł by je udostępnić:
